Lots of people are interested in Wireless Network security nowadays. The growth of wireless neworking have given rise to an equal growth in risk. However, the (in)secure-by-default products can be compromised using many readily available tools and there is a general lack of expertise in the parties implementing the technology. These issues cause the deployments to become the initiator of numerous critical risks. Given the general level of interest in securing wireless deployment, we will give common understanding on how these emerging technologies work, what's wrong with them, and the current thinking on how to fix the problems.
This presentation will cover the best practice procedures for secure wireless network deployment. The talk will also look at prevelant technologies, such as Bluetooth, Infra Red, RF and RFID, which carry with them some interesting and unexpected risks.
